There are many kinds of transmissions and depending on your car, you will have to use a certain one. What are these things and why do we really need them? Transmissions are broke down into two real categories, manual and automatic. These transmissions are what make the car run, so they are important to the overall health of the car.
An automatic transmission will vary from 2 speeds on up to a more common 4 speed or 5 speed automatic. A 3 speed auto transmission is really very simple. You have drive, low 1 or low 2.
