Would it be terrible for me to buy a vintage leather bag? Ok I was just look at this website of like vintage clothes and accessories and I have absolutely fallen in love with this handbag, it is from the 1960's... But I just realised it is made of leather, and I am having such a horrible dilemma right now I am in love with the bag, but I am strongly opposed to the leather industry. The only way I could ever justify it to myself is to know that I am not contributing to today's leather industry, because it is from the 60's. But it is still leather I feel so confused. What should I do? Oh yeah, not sure if I mentioned that I am Vegan... I know I feel so shallow even considering... I will not get the bag, I refuse to hand over the control of my life to something that was torn from the decomposing copse of a cow. OMG I am so shallow! You are not really promoting the current leather industry by buying a vintage bag from the sixties. Although it could be considered questionable whether or not you should buy it, it would not be terrible if you did. You are not promoting the suffering of animals by buying a really old handbag made of leather, although buying a new one would be another question.
